Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is ideal for those working in the construction industry and specialising in insulation and building treatments.

What do these qualifications cover?

It covers a number of specialist areas including:

• wood preserving and damp-proofing

• wall tie replacement

• cavity wall insulation

• solid floor insulation

• under floor insulation

• cold roof insulation

Upon completion, learners show that they have the required skills and knowledge and are competent in the specialist occupational area.

Are the qualifications part of a framework or initiative?

This qualification is competency based for the Insulation and Building Treatments sector. It covers both the knowledge and skills to operate in this specialist industry. This qualification also supports applications for the TICA worker Cards, in line with TICA and CSCS worker card requirements.

This qualification will allow you to progress into employment or onto the Level 3 NVQ in Insulation and Building Treatments (Construction).
