Metal Decking and Stud Welding – Level 2
About this course
This qualification is aimed at those who are involved in installing metal decking or who carry out stud welding on site working from drawings and specifications. All work completed must be carried out in accordance with Building Regulations and Industry recognised safe working practices, including the disposal of waste.

Objectives
Learners are required to achieve all learning outcomes within units of assessment. All assessment is subject to internal quality assurance within approved centres providing this qualification. External quality assurance of assessment and internal quality assurance within approved centres is provided by GQA Qualifications.
Duration
One evening a week during term time, duration will be 3 hours per week and training will last between 20 and 34 weeks depending on the processes chosen and individual skills.
CSCS Card
On completion of this qualification and either the CITB Health, Safety and Environmental touch screen test or the GQA Health and Safety assessment paper you will be eligible to apply for a full GQA CSCS Card.
The health and safety evidence must have been completed within the 2 years preceding application. Once registered you will be eligible to apply for a temporary card provided you also meet the health and safety requirements

In order to take this course you will need to be employed or have work organised in order to collect evidence. We do not find employment for you.
