About this course
NVQ Level 6 Construction Contracting Operations Management is a competency-based qualification designed for managers who work in the construction industry. Overall, construction operations managers and other experienced managers will benefit immensely from this qualification.
Managers who specialise in general construction contracting operations, who intend to gain the Black CSCS Card or Manager Card, should enrol on this NVQ. The Manager Card is used to show that you have a high level of skill and competency in your role.
The NVQ qualification holds a lot of weight internally; overall, the NVQ will show to the team you are managing, that you understand the role and are highly capable.

What to expect during your course
This NVQ can be completed nationwide and remotely. Site visits can be arranged if and when required.
Once you have been enrolled, you will be assigned an assessor who will work with you to build your portfolio of evidence via our Eportfolio system.
The system allows you to:
- Access it anytime and from anywhere, via PC, laptop, tablet or phone
- Upload evidence as you have it, e.g., photos, videos and documents straight from your phone
- Complete activities and send messages straight to your assessor
- View your progress, see what’s outstanding and next steps
- Access support documents and information as and when required
Duration
Typical completion time is 4-6 months, and all learners are supported to complete within a 6-month timeframe, however this depends on how quickly you are able to meet the requirements of the NVQ.
Progression
On completion of the NVQ, you are required to apply to CSCS directly for your card and supply them with your NVQ certificate details.
You will also need to complete the relevant CITB Health, Safety & Environment test before applying for your CSCS card.

In order to take this course you will need to be employed or have work organised in order to collect evidence. We do not find employment for you.
